Lunch time is between 11.30 and 1.05, depending on the age of your child.

School finishes at 3:05.

In line with DfE recommendation that all schools must be open for at least 32.5 hours per week, the academy proposes that from September 2023, the school day will be as follows:

8:50am to 3.15pm for Reception and KS1

​

Total school hours 32.5 hours from September 2023

8:50am to 11:20 Nursery am

Whitchurch CE Junior Academy doors open at 8.45 and close at 8.55

Lunchtime is between 12.10-1.10pm

School finishes at 3.20

Total hours per week: 33 hours 5 minutes

​

In line with DfE recommendation that all schools must be open for at least 32.5 hours per week, the academy proposes that from September 2023, the school day will be as follows:

8:45am to 3:20pm for KS2

​

Punctuality

 

Sometimes circumstances beyond our control mean that we are late. This is a fact of life and we accept this. However, persistent lateness can and should be avoided.

 

If your child arrives at school late it is important that you bring them to Reception. We can then record that they have arrived in school and take them to join their class.

 

If you are going to be late collecting your child please try to let us know -- arriving even just a few minutes late can be very distressing to small children. Thank you.
